Creating An Online Account

We require that you create an online account when shopping. This is to discourage abuse and also let's us easily contact you if there's a problem during checkout. Make sure you submit a valid email address, otherwise you will not receive your account verification email. The easiest way to create an account is to click here

Ordering

NOTE: (30june2006) Due to UPS Ground limitations, mixing perishable items and merchandise in one order will result in limited shipping options and increased costs. If you want to order our delicious hot dogs and any merchandise items, please make two separate orders - one for hot dogs and one for the non-perishable items. Your total costs will be less and tracking of the orders is easier. This issue is being addressed and site enhancements will be rolled out soon.

Billing Address Different Than Shipping

Question
I have a different billing address than shipping address. I can't seem to get your website to bill to - ship to. How does one go about doing this?

1] Make sure you're logged in. If not, login. If you don't have an account, register

Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Cart All of your order information is confidential and encrypted so it cannot be accessed by anyone outside of NathansFamous.com. We use the industry leading technology called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to ensure that your information and credit card number are safely transported online. Our security supplier is Verisign. Their logo is prominent on all of our shopping cart pages when you are ordering. Click on their logo and they will show proof of our secure certificate. Another way to find out if your transaction is guarded by SSL is this:

When you enter click CHECKOUT in our shopping cart, look for the picture of the unbroken key or closed lock in your browser window (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator and most other browsers use SSL). Either indicator means SSL is hard at work. Another easy way you can tell if SSL is guarding your transaction is to check the URL address at the top of the page. It should change from "http" to "https" when processing secure transactions.

NOTE: The lock may be closed but can have a slash and the red colored background. This means that the connection is secure, but images or other content is not encrypted. This good on busy sites like Nathan's as it means the server is more efficient. Remember, the lock must be closed and there must be 'https' in the location box for there to be a secure connection between your browser and Nathan's server.

Cookies are tiny pieces of information that are temporarily stored by your hard drive, and used for record keeping purposes (for instance, to save what you put in your shopping cart). We use cookies to make visiting and using our site easier. Most web browsers accept cookies. You can enable cookies as shown below, or you can call us at our toll free number. How To Receive Nathan's Notifications

If you want to know when Nathan's has a special or new items added to the site, you have 3 options.

  1. Check the shopping site often.
  2. Subscribe to the Specials email list using the link on the left.
  3. Turn on Nathan's automated notifications.
The first two are self explanatory, but the notification feature may be new to you. Here's how to turn them on.
  1. Login or create an account and respond to the verification email to get full access to the site.
  2. After you login you will see your 'User Profile' page. Click on the 'Notify' tab.
  3. Select your desired options.
To make sure you never miss anything from Nathan's, do all three!
